Level 3 Nourishing Kai for Families
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs R. McGrath.
This course provides a comprehensive exploration of how to effectively nourish families through balanced and nutritious food choices. Students will delve into the principles of nutrition, food preparation, and meal planning, with a focus on practical skills and evidence-based knowledge.
At Year 13, students will build on knowledge that they have gained at Year 12. Although they do not have to have taken the Year 12 course to pick up the Year 13 course.
At Year 13, there is a large focus on community nutrition and developing strategies for health enhancing change when it comes to food and nutrition choices.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
